Research into how spaces can be occupied
Firstly I looked at the idea of light and shadows from being inspired by previous work I had created in college (photography). These photographs I had created in a previous project taken at Haddon Hall use the idea of shadows and how light can affect photographs. Connected to this typography brief, these photographs inspired me to look at other sources (secondary) at typographers and artists as well as other ways to occupy space. Light can fill space but it does not occupy it. In my own typography I could experiment with taking sections of letters out following patterns from my own photographs or experiment with the idea of light and shadows (making the letterform a silhouette).
